We are seeking an experienced people operations professional to join our marketing agency. As People Operations Manager, you will play a crucial role in shaping our company's HR strategy, ensuring we attract, develop, and retain top talent while fostering a supportive and growth-oriented workplace environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Talent Acquisition and Management
- Lead recruitment efforts for specialized roles in the eCommerce marketing space
- Oversee implementation of an ATS and related hiring processes including offer letter and negotiations
- Partner with discipline leads to create surveys and exercises to ensure talent aligns with agency values and has the desired skills
- Employee Onboarding
- Oversee the employee onboarding process
- Assess existing processes and implement improvements that make onboarding more seamless and ensure candidates are properly integrated into the team
- Create an onboarding course for new employees and partner with disciple leads to create team-specific onboarding training
- Ongoing Employee Training
- Work closely with leadership team and discipline leads to identify training needs
- Coordinate learning opportunities to enhance employee skills and knowledge.
- Performance Management
- Develop and oversee performance management processes to ensure alignment with agency goals and continuous employee development
- Create and oversee processes to ensure global compliance
- Employee Relations
- Act as a trusted advisor to management and employees, handling employee relations issues, conflict resolution, while maintaining a positive company culture.
- Oversee culture initiatives
- Strategic HR Leadership
- Provide strategic guidance and leadership in HR initiatives
- Partner with the leadership team to build out new processes to create operational efficiency and operational excellence both on the team and cross-functionally
- Innovate HR Practices to be able to adapt to new trends and the needs of the workplace
- HR Policies and Compliance
- Develop and implement HR policies and procedures specific to the marketing industry, ensuring compliance with relevant laws and regulations.
- Proactively establish, create, and maintain comprehensive policies and procedures aligned with HR best practices across all relevant areas.
- Stay informed about current trends, best practices, and regulatory updates in human resources, and employment law, and ensure the people team is up to date on the latest trends
- Ensure that all employees are aware of all policies and any policy updates
- Own the Podean Employee Handbook & related policy documentation
- HR Administration
- Manage day-to-day HR operations in Rippling, including payroll, benefits administration, and HRIS management. Maintain accurate records and ensure data integrity.
- Oversee and manage the People Team tech stack, and manage and build vendor relationships, researching the right tools, advocating for company needs, and syncing systems to work better together
- HR Metrics and Reporting:
- Monitor HR metrics to track progress and identify areas for improvement. Prepare reports and analysis for agency leadership.
- Global HR Partner
- Offering strategic HR support and guidance to regional leadership
- Staying ahead of local regulations and compliance
Requirements:
- 8+ years in HR generalist or people operations roles within an agency, startup, or similar fast-paced environment
- Deep understanding of HR best practices, employment laws, and regulations relevant to the marketing industry.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively across teams and levels.
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field;
- Familiarity with eCommerce and marketplace marketing and related platforms is a plus.
